Akwa United’s attacker Mfon Udoh has assured the club’s followers of a top three finish in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The 27-year old spoke after the club’s 1-0 win over Yobe Stars on Sunday, a victory which stretched Akwa’s log lead to six points above Kano Pillars.

“Well they say the higher you go, the cooler it becomes, this one the higher you go, the tougher it becomes,” said the former Enyimba player to Brila.

“Matches are becoming difficult and we have been working very hard, we are training, we are pushing very hard and adding everything extra because now that the goal is easy, we are asking them to keep the faith,” he added.

Udoh further added that results have been right there for the supporters to see.

“We’ve given them 150 percent assurance that it is going to work,” he concluded.
