Slovenian referee Damir Skomina will be in charge of Champions League match final between Premier League sides Liverpool and Tottenham.

The 42-year-old officiated Paris Saint Germain’s defeat to Manchester United in the same competition in the Round of 16. Skomina will now officiate the most anticipated final between Premier League clubs. Liverpool progressed to the finals of the tourney after overcoming a 3-0 defeat to beat Barcelona 4-0 in return leg at Anfield with an aggregate of 4-3.

Spurs on the other end overturned a 1-0 deficit, winning 3-2 where they settled for a 3-3 draw but progressed due to away goal rule.

The finals will be played on 1st June at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
