Yema Mwana scores twice as Bandari beat Chemelil at Mbaraki

14 May 2019, 16:55

A Yema Mwana double and a David Kingatua penalty were enough as Bandari came back from a goal down to beat Chemelil Sugar 3-1 in a Kenya Premier League clash at Mbaraki on Tuesday afternoon.

The Dockers came into the match on the back of a disappointing barren draw with Posta Rangers and looked like they were in for another difficult outing when the visitors took the lead just eight minutes into the match from the penalty spot.

However, the home side responded almost immediately, Yema Mwana pouncing on a rebound to restore parity just seven minutes later.

Pressure from the home side finally paid off with 10 minutes to the break when a Chemelil player handled the ball in the box with David Kingatua converting the resulting penalty to give Bandari a deserved half time lead.

Second half.

Mwana was at it again in the 71st minute, this time dribbling past the Chemelil goalkeeper to score into an empty net with a beautiful finish.

Next for Bandari is another home clash against Tusker FC.
