Following reports of Gareth Bale being linked with a move out of Real Madrid, his agent Jonathan Barnett has revealed that the winger is willing to run down his contract at Santiago Bernabeu.
Zinedine Zidane and Bale have had a rocky relationship even in the Frenchman's first tenure at Madrid as he was handed limited playing time. The Welshman has sat out in the last two encounters as he has not been named in the 18-man squad for games against Real Sociedad and Villareal.
In an interview with ESPN, Barnett revealed that Bale could still see off his contract at Madrid, "Gareth is fine. He is still a Real player with three years left on his contract. He has always been clear about that. And if he is picked he will play."
When asked what Bale will do after Zidane publicly hinted that he wants him to leave the club and failed to select him in the squad in a number of games, Barnett replied, "You would have to ask Mr. Zidane what he wants to do. But Gareth will keep trying."
