Bayern Munich approach City to discuss Leroy Sane's future
Bayern Munich have reportedly opened talks with Manchester City over the possibility of signing Manchester City's Leroy Sane.
According to Daily Record reports, the Bundesliga champions have been granted permission to speak to the Germany international's representatives with a view to agreeing to contractual terms.
Manchester City, however, prefer to keep Sane but acknowledge the fact that his contract expires in 2021 and has rejected a series of improved offers.
Txiki Begiristian, City's director of football believes it will be a risk if the forward runs down his contract and transfer values, and has reportedly told sources that he may be forced to sell in the coming transfer window.
Sane is said to be unhappy with his status in Pep Guardiola's squad and has come into conflict with the Catalan coach on more than one occasion, the article claims.
Bayern Munich are said to want Sane as part of an aggressive overhaul of a playing squad that was eliminated from the Champions League in the first knock-out round after losing 3-1 at home to Liverpool.
Meanwhile, ESPN say City plan to sign three or four new players this summer as Guardiola aims to freshen up his squad ahead of another title tilt next term.
Guardiola does not want to risk his squad stagnating and is reportedly targeting a holding midfielder, a defender and a forward during the summer window.
