How Zoo FC head coach inspired comeback against Western Stima

16 May 2019, 18:00

Zoo Kericho head coach Herman Iswekha inspired his side as they came from a goal done to be visiting Western Stima 2-1 on Wednesday 15th in a Kenyan Premier League encounter.

Playing at home, Zoo found themselves trailing just before half-time but Iswekha motivated his side as they came from behind to claim all three points. The players were dejected and disappointed for conceding a late goal but the coach gave them words of encouragement in the dressing room.

"Guys, we have played very well, we lost concentration in the last one minute to half time and that is our own big mistake,” he said.

“So freshen up and get out there with your heads and shoulders high, we are one goal down just concentrate and focus to the last whistle!...Go and win this game for us, we will make changes later on,” he added.

His players did not disappoint as goals from Anami Derrick and Danson Chetambe completed a comeback for the hosts. Zoo who remains 16th on the log with 28 points will take on Bandari FC on Sunday 19th at Mbaraki Sports Club.
