Harambee Stars midfielder Francis Kahata says Harambee Stars will not be pushovers in next month's Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be held in Egypt.
Coach Sebastian Migne on Tuesday morning named a provisional 30-man squad that will camp in France for two weeks before jetting out to Cairo for the continental showpiece.
And Kahata, who was one of the star performers in the team during the qualifiers, believes they have got what it takes to cause a few surprises despite their underdog status.
"We played big teams in the qualifiers and we will put even more effort in the tournament because many people view us as underdogs but I know we can spring surprises," he told Football Kenya Federation.
Kenya have been pooled in Group C alongside neighbours Tanzania and heavyweights Senegal and Algeria.
