Akwa United forward Mfon Udoh is close to winning the Golden Boot award as he top the scorers' chat in the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
With two matches remaining, Udoh top the scorers' table with 10 goals, two more than close challenger, Katsina United's Tasiu Lawal.
Akwa United lost 2-1 at Delta Force on Wednesday, but Udoh managed to get on the scoresheet for his hometown club and become the first player to hit double digit figures.
His haul has in the NPFL included five away goals. The former Enyimba star is also the all-time record scorer in the league after he netted 23 goals in the 2014 season.
He can now cash 2 million Naira at 200,000 Naira per goal scored in the NPFL.
