Manchester United could reportedly use Eric Bailly as bait in order to get Toby Alderweireld from Premier League rivals Tottenham.
The Daily Star reports that Spurs have joined Arsenal in pursuit of the Ivorian defender, with Mauricio Pochettino viewing him as the ideal replacement for the 30-year-old Belgian defender who has been a target for United for some time now.
Alderweireld has a £25m release clause in his contract and is expected to leave Spurs this summer while
Bailly has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and is keen to on a move.
Bailly, who Arsenal have been keeping tabs on for several months, joined United in a £30m deal from Villarreal in 2016 to become Jose Mourinho's first signing as boss.
