Chelsea stars ready to quit if Sarri remains at the helm
A section of Chelsea players have threatened to walk out of the club if manager Maurizio Sarri will remain in charge at Stamford Bridge next season.
According to reports, some of the team's top performers are not convinced by Sarri, despite finishing third in the recently concluded Premier League season and taking them to the Europa League finals.
The fans too have not been overly impressed by the Italian, who has had an indifferent season in his first year in charge in England.
He came under heavy criticism from the fans especially after heavy defeats to Manchester City and Watford but somehow managed to turn the fortunes around as the campaign wore down.
Rumours going around indicated that the club's hierarchy plans on replacing the former Napoli man regardless of the result in the Europa League finals against Arsenal, which might come as a welcome relief to the players who might want to leave.
Club legend Frank Lampard and former Juventus manager Massimo Allegri have been touted as possible replacements, with the former Juventus boss fuelling speculations after it emerged that he is learning English.
Chelsea have the chance to end the season on a high when they travel to Baku to face Arsenal in the finals of the Europa League on May 29.
