Manchester City coaching staff Simon Davies has followed Vincent Kompany to Belgian side Anderlecht.
Kompany ended his 11-year stay at Etihad last week and agreed to take the role of player-manager at Anderlecht where he began his career. The Belgian has taken the City coaching staff Davies who leaves his role as head of academy to join Les Mauves et Blancs.
"When Vinny asked me to make the move with him to RSC Anderlecht, I didn’t doubt”, Davies said.
"We are starting a beautiful project: taking RSC Anderlecht back to the place where they belong, with special emphasis on the development of talented young players."

"We hired him following Vincent Kompany’s advice. They have been working together for quite a while and we want to bring Manchester City’s success story to RSC Anderlecht,” said Michael Verschueren.
Davies, who will be Kompany’s head coach has signed a contract until 2022.
