Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Jethro Mohlala, better known as Lovers, has urged Pitso Mosimane to make a move for Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan.
Mohlala says he loves Sundowns’ out-of-the-box approach to recruiting players from all over the globe. The club currently has Africans, South Americans and an Australian in their 2018/19 squad.
''I am sure they will go out to the market and sign top players, what I like about Pitso and the club is that they don't look to scavenge for remains when it comes to talent like all the PSL clubs who look to sign in the PSL or South Africa,'' Mohlala told Goal.
''They scout all over the world and that means they are head and shoulders above the rest. I am sure there are players lined up.
With Mosimane having made it quite clear that signing a striker is top priority this winter, Mohlala believes that player would be the Turkish-based Gyan.

''However, if I was part of the scouting department, I would sign Gyan and bring him on a one-year contract. He’s a top class striker and he can definitely set the PSL stage alight.
The 33-year-old Gyan who is resting after an injury-ravaged season (five goals & three assists in 17) is expected to launch a club hunt when his contract with Kayserispor expires on June 30.
''I would sign him for his experience and then we will see how it goes, I like their scouting policy through,” concluded Mohlala.
