After suffering two injury setbacks in the build to the UEFA Europa League final against Arsenal, Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has revealed that he was worried about missing the clash.
Kante proudly lifted the Europa League trophy aloft after the game and in doing so continued an impressive record, the 28-year-old has won a trophy in every season since he moved to English football. The Frenchman had not played since May 5 before the final when he hobbled off in the Premier League win over Watford with a hamstring injury and suffered another injury four days before the final in training.
In an interview with football.london, Kante revealed that he was worried about missing the final against Arsenal, which Chelsea thumped their London rivals 4-1, "I was a bit worried because I twisted my knee on Saturday. The staff did an amazing job to be ready for the final. I was ready to play and am happy for the team."
