Tottenham Hotspur have maintained their interest in signing Derbyshire-born Kion Etete ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Notts County youngster was part of the Spurs squad that travelled to the Netherlands for U19 Terborg Tournament.

Tottenham U19 coach ran the rule over Etete during the tournament in which he featured in every single game played by the North London club.

The 17-year-old started twice against Flamengo (group and third place playoff) and came off the bench in matches against Midtjylland, Ajax Cape Town and Vitesse

He trialed with Spurs in March 2019, scoring a brace in a 5-3 victory over West Ham in the U18 Premier League.

Last season, Etete made four appearances for Notts County in the League Two and also featured for the first team in the FA Cup and EFL Trophy.

Etete has not ruled out the possibility of representing the Nigerian Football Federation in the near future.
