France midfielder N’Golo Kante is set to miss his side’s upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers due to a knee injury.
Kante was doubtful for Chelsea’s final match against Arsenal in the Europa League but managed to play the whole game. France will not risk the Chelsea midfielder for Saturday night’s trip to Turkey or Tuesday’s clash against Andorra.
"N'Golo Kante will not be able to participate in the travels of the Blues in Turkey and Andorra,” a statement from France read.
"After meeting with the medical staff following the evolution of his right knee injury, coach Didier Deschamps decided to release the international midfielder from Chelsea FC before leaving for Konya, Turkey. He will not be replaced in the group."
Kante is believed to have picked the injury during his side’s 4-1 win over Arsenal in the Europa League final.
