Reports: Chelsea to hold talks with Lampard

Frank Lampard is set to hold talks with Chelsea over taking over as the new manager at Stamford Bridge following Maurizio Sarri’s departure to Juventus.

According to reports, Sarri is set to become Juventus’ manager after the Italian side agreed a compensation package worth up to £10m was agreed with the Serie A champions.

The Blues want to make a swift appointment now that Sarri’s situation has been resolved and Lampard looks certain to make a dream return to west London, where he played between 2001-14 and scored a club-record 211 goals.

Lampard has two years remaining on his current deal at Derby, who he led to the Championship play-off final during his first season in charge.
