Harambee Stars will play their final friendly match on Saturday 15th against the Democratic Republic of Congo before heading to Egypt for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
This will be Stars second friendly after registering a 1-0 win over Madagascar in the first pre-AFCON friendly which was played on Friday last week. Head coach Sebastien Migne has noted his side is well prepared for the match while confirming the unavailability of Musa Mohamed but expressed the defender will be fit in time for AFCON, and that he has enough depth to plug in the void.
“We are well prepared. Everything is okay and we are on the way,” said coach Migné.
“We will not risk fielding Musa (Mohammed) and Brian (Mandela, who has been ruled out of the tournament) because our priority is on our match against Algeria. In his absence we have an opportunity to see what other players can offer,” he added.
The match is set to be played at the Estadio de Santa Ana in Madrid, Spain starting from 8 PM EAT.
