Aubameyang set to be offered bumper deal at Arsenal
Arsenal are set to offer striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a new bumper deal a the club.
The Gunners’ forward was the top scorer in the Premier League and the north London side is keen to ward off interest from China by tabling a new contract for the Gabon captain. Aubameyang is a target by Chinese Super League clubs Guangzhou Evergrande and Shangai SIPG, with the pair offering big money to try and entice the forward away from Emirates.
According to Daily Mirror, the club is preparing a significant new contract in a bid to extent the stay of the former Borrusia Dortmund striker. Arsenal will be keen to keep their forward as they want to avoid being in a similar situation regarding contracts expiring as they have been in recent years with the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez.
