According to various sources, new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has held talks with Cristiano Ronaldo over a move into the middle of the attack and have him play as an out-and-out striker to maximize his goal-scoring abilities.
Sarri was confirmed as the new Juventus head coach this week after making the switch from Chelsea where he had an impressive first season winning the UEFA Europa League and the guiding the club to a top-four finish. In his first press conference, Sarri spoke of how he would want to take Ronaldo to new heights.
"At Chelsea, I trained many strong players, but to coach Cristiano Ronaldo is emotional, because it a step forward. I would like to help him to break even more records. When a player has the quality like Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo, they can play in any role. The only thing that can change is the interpretation of the role."
According to AS, the Italian tactician jetted off to the Costa Azul to tell Cristiano Ronaldo what he expects out of his star player next season.
