Match preview 🏆

Considering they've already qualified for the knockout phase and need only a point to be sure of claiming top spot in Group D. Thanks to their 1-0 win over Ivory Coast in their second game Herve Renard'sside are in a commanding position and may do the bare minimum rather than go all out, and that may mean resting some players. South Africa needs to get something out of the game and do better than Ivory Coast in the group's other match in order to qualify directly as one of the top two teams in the pool. Their 1-0 defeat to Ivory Coast and 1-0 defeat of Namibia hardly filled fans with confidence.

A draw would be enough for Morocco to top the group and there isn't enough evidence to suggest that South Africa has enough quality to win this clash.

Players to watch 🌟

South Africa’s Percy Tau has been involved in all three goals across his nation’s only two 90-minute victories in 2019, with those contributions all coming in the second half (two goals, one assist).

Youssef En-Neysri has scored the winning goal in two of his nation’s last three group stage victories and is the only Moroccan to have scored at this edition of AFCON.
