English Premier League side and Europa League champions Chelsea have confirmed that striker Gonzalo Higuain and five others will leave the club.
Apart from Higuain who will return to parent club Juventus, the four of captain Gary Cahill, along with Rob Green, Eduardo and Kyle Scott are not yet clear where their next destination will be.
Higuain arrived at Chelsea in January 2019 but could only manage five goals in 14 Premier League appearances; a streak that is believed to have triggered the Argentina coach to leave him out of his COPA America squad.
The outing was a contrast of his spell at Napoli in the 2015/16 season where he hit 36 league goals under the current Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea had the option to extend the 31-year old stay at Stamford Bridge but decided against it with the club yet to appoint a new head coach following the departure of Sarri.
Higuain, had earlier last week linked with a move to AS Roma but his brother and agent Nicola tweeted on Sunday saying he will not play for a Serie A club other than Juventus next term.
