Arsenal Premier League win percentage with Aaron Ramsey in the starting line up the last two seasons was 63%. Without him it was 44%.— Orbinho (@Orbinho) July 8, 2019
Arsenal's Opta statistician Orbinho collects data on all sort of things relating to Arsenal, especially their comparative win record with & without certain players for specified periods.
From his tweet above, it's clear that Arsenal will struggle to come to terms without Ramsey's influence in midfield. Arsenal's win percentage in the last two completed Premier League seasons is 63% with Ramsey in the starting lineup, as opposed to 44% without him.
A drop of almost 20% is approximately eight wins in a total Premier League season, and that's 24 points that Arsenal cannot afford to sacrifice if they're to compete for a top-four place.
So far, The Gunners have been linked with moves for Celtic's left back Kieran Tierney and Premier League wingers Wilf Zaha and Ryan Fraser. However, a central midfielder will be more of a priority for Unai Emery and his backroom staff.
Arsenal opens up their Premier League campaign away to Newcastle on August 11th.
