Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has urged youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi to remain at the club, saying he will help him reach his potential.
Hudson-Odoi is still recovering from an injury he suffered towards the end of last season but has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, who had four bids rejected in January.
The German giants are thought to be readying another bid for Odoi, although Chelsea are unwilling to let one of Europe's brightest stars leave.
"I am not going to say things that are pie in the sky but, with his talent, he can be central to this team, he can be central to England," said Lampard after his side was held to a 1-1 draw against Bohemians in a friendly tie.
He added: "He can show, right here at Chelsea, the team he came through the academy at, that he is going to be a world-class player – because I truly believe that,"
Chelsea is currently serving a two-window transfer ban, and Lampard would not want to lose more players having joined the club after the sale of Eden Hazard.
Odoi has in the recent past indicated he was willing to commit his long-term future with the club, provided they assured him that he will have more game time next season.
