Goalkeeper Scot Mwanza was the hero of the day in Solwezi as he served the last penalty kick to win help Kansanshi Dynamos beat Young Green Eagles 5-4 on post-match penalties to qualify to the Super League.
Kansanshi came into the match with a one-goal deficit having lost by a lone goal in the first leg away in Kafue at the Khosa Stadium and needed an outright win.
Eagles started strong and controlled the match. The match, however, lacked clear cut chances as both teams struggled to open each other up. The home side scored towards the end of the match but it was ruled for offside.
Zone two league top goalscorer Royd Alufoso scored in the dying minutes to finally break the deadlock and send the match into a frenzy and push the match to post-match penalties.
Kansanshi held on to win the match and push the match to post-match penalties where Kansanshi managed to win 5-4 and win promotion to the Superleague.
