KWPL: Trans Nzoia goes top as Spedag slump continues

Following their weekend wins against Kisumu All Starlets and Zetech Sparks, Trans Nzoia Falcons are now perched atop of the FKF Women Premier League.

Falcons started the weekend with a 2-1 win over visiting Kisumu Starlets on Saturday at the Manour Agricultural Center on Saturday with Susan Muhonja and Tumaini Nafula scoring the goals that rendered Mercy Airo’s strike as a consolation.

On Sunday, the Kitale based side was not willing to rest on their laurels as they hammered Zetech Sparks 6-1. Tumaini Waliaula and Martha Amunyolete each netted hat tricks, with Alukwo Anyetu netting the guests’ consolation.

In the other games of the weekend, Spedag ladies found the going tough as they fell 2-0 to Oserian Ladies at the Oserian grounds.

Eldoret Falcons and Thika Queens also managed wins over Wadadia and Makolanders respectively while Mathare United Women and Kayole Starlet played out a 1-1 draw at Camp Toyoyo.
