Manchester City new signing Rodri has admitted he was nervous when he met his new boss Pep Guardiola for the first time.
The Spaniard signed for the Citizens for a club-record £62.5m from Spanish side Atletico Madrid earlier this month. The midfielder made his first appearance for the Premier League champions when his side beat West Ham United 4-1 in the Premier League Asia Trophy on Wednesday.
"Yes, of course,” Rodri told Sky Sports when asked if he was nervous the first time he met Guardiola.
"But day by day, it gets normal, and like every coach, they give you indications to teach you and improve. You have to take it as soon as possible to translate it onto the pitch."
Rodrigo has been handed a start against Wolverhampton in the final of Premier League Asia trophy.
