CHAN: Migne expects a tough Tanzania as Harambee Stars hit camp
Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne expects a tough Tanzania when both sides meet in the first round of the CHAN qualifiers.
While taking the team through their first session on Sunday, Migne said that most of the players in the Tanzania AFCON team were based in their local league and that gives their opponents an edge in terms of experience.
“Of course it’s going to be tough against Tanzania. Most of the players they had at AFCON were locally based and more experienced. We are working on building team spirit and I am confident that we will do well,” Migné is quoted by the Federation website.
Of the 27 players initially called to camp, only 23 players checked in the Sunday session conducted at the MISC Kasarani.
The first of the two-legged qualifier has been scheduled for July 28, 2019 in Tanzania, with the second set to be played at the MISC Kasarani on August 4, 2019. The aggregate winner will then face off with Sudan in the final qualifying round.
