πŸ‡¦πŸ‡· πŸ—£ Pochettino to break Tottenham transfer record again for Giovani Lo Celso?

Mauricio Pochettino is rebuilding his Tottenham side this summer and chairman Daniel Levy has made funds available for him to express himself with big-name signings.

Tanguy Ndombele has already arrived in a club-record deal and Pochettino is keen to add compatriot Giovani Lo Celso to his roster but he'll have to go higher than the figure paid for Ndombele to land Lo Celso.

Real Betis is looking for a big fee to convince them to sell, and that initially put Spurs off because of their big-money acquisition of Ndombele.

Betis's demands have dropped from €100m to €75m and it appears that Tottenham can now do business at that lowered rate. Betis will lose €9.6m of that fee to PSG as a part of the deal that brought him to France initially.

Betis might only end up pocketing €56m after paying a nominal figure still due to the player, but that would still represent the biggest sale in the club’s history.

The continued decrease in their asking price shows they’re willing to negotiate and if Tottenham gets to that €70m price, they’ll get their man. The ball now seems to be in Daniel Levy's court now as Spurs aim to get the deal over the line, especially with the apparent keenness on Betis's side to sell while they can still get a good price.
