English Premier League side Arsenal is on the verge of confirming the loan signing of Dani Ceballos from La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Ceballos had attracted interest from Arsenal cross-town rivals Tottenham Hotspurs too but the Spanish Under 21 midfielder will be moving to the Emirates after Real agreed on a fee with the former.
Arsenal has also done the same to clinch the signing of defender William Saliba, 18, from St Etienne who is set for a medical on Tuesday, as Arsenal's summer transfer plans begin to take real shape.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery said: “We were speaking about the possibility to sign one player for a loan. We had different names. The club was working on that.
“Ceballos is a very good player. I know him from Real Betis at the beginning and Real Madrid. He played very well in the Under 21s, his national team won the competition. He is one eight and 10 player.”
