The five Chelsea players Lampard is willing to let go this summer

Frank Lampard's reign at Chelsea is set to start officially in about two weeks' time when he will lead his team in the first Premier League match against Manchester United.

The former midfielder is currently preparing his charges for the anticipated gruelling season, having returned to London from their tour of Japan.

Lampard has indicated he is willing to keep some of the young players in his team but will let go of some as they seek first-team opportunities.

We take a look at some of the players that might be offloaded, possibly on loan, before the new season.

1. Tiémoué Bakayoko

The former Monaco man was billed as the next big thing in the world of football, after making the leap from League 1 to the Premier League.

However, he was shipped out on loan to AC Milan after a disappointing first season. PSG are thought to be keen on taking him on loan, and it seems he is not in Lampards's plans.

2.  Izzy Brown

The highly-rated midfielder had a disappointing campaign on loan at Leeds United after a career-threatening injury saw him miss a huge chunk of the games.

He is expected to once again leave on loan to get more minutes under his belt.

3. Lucas Piazon

It's hard to believe that the Brazilian is still at Chelsea. He was dubbed the new Kaka when he joined Chelsea as a teenager, years down the line, he hasn't hit any level near what was expected of him.

He has been to Malaga, Vitesse, Frankfurt, Reading, Fulham and finally Chievo in Serie A in his eight years' stay at the Bridge.

4. Dujon Sterling

Sterling is rumoured to be close to joining QPR on loan, with opportunities limited at Chelsea. Cezar Azipilcueta, Davide Zappacosta and fellow academy graduate Reece James. are all ahead of him in the pecking order.

5. Trevoh Chalobah

The talented centre-back is attracting attention from Championship side Huddersfield, with reports indicating Chelsea might consider seeing the youngster instead of loaning him out.
