Kenneth Omeruo remains unclear of his Chelsea future

Nigeria international defender Kenneth Omeruo has been dealt with a blow as he is yet to know what his future holds for him at Chelsea.

Omeruo was one of the prominent players during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where the Super Eagles managed to finish the tournament with a bronze medal.

Chelsea who recently brought on former player Frank Lampard to take over the managerial role from Maurizio Sarri has been doing some changes to the current squad as the Premier League season kicks off in a few days.

Omeruo spent the 2018/19 season on loan with Leganes and as the 2019/20 campaign looms, it seems there is no place for him under Lampard's rein.

Despite having not played first-team football with Chelsea, there is some hope for the former Flying Eagles star as reports reveal that Spanish teams are keen on his services.

It is yet to be seen if he will be given the opportunities to showcase on the Stamford Bridge or will he be loaned out elsewhere.
