Two former Gor Mahia defenders and Power Dynamos forward seal move to Wazito

Cash strapped Wazito FC have continued with their heavy spending this transfer window by completing the signings of former Gor Mahia defenders Abouba Sibomana and Karim Nizigiyimana while also roping in Elvis Rupia from Power Dynamos.

Sibomana was part of the Gor Mahia invincibles that won the 2015 Kenyan Premier League unbeaten but parted ways with the club in 2017 to join Rwandan side Rayon Sports. The defender then moved to APR, winning the 2017-2018 league title.

Nizigiyimana left Gor Mahia at the start of last season after he failed to agree on a new deal with the club, joining 2018 Ugandan champions Vipers FC. The former Gor Mahia right-back was part of the Burundi squad that took part in the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

Wazito also confirmed their signing from Power Dynamos, Elvis Rupia who almost clinched the 2018 Kenyan Premier League golden boot despite only playing half a season for Nzoia Sugar. Rupia scored 17 goals before Eric Kapaito pipped him on the final day of the season.

Wazito have splashed out cash signing a number of players including, Derrick Otanga, Bernard Ochieng, Musa Brian, Gad Matthew, Piston Mutamba, and Kevin Omondi.
