Ghanaian winger Francis Amuzu has received praises from Anderlecht sporting director Michael Verschueren for the talent that he brings to the squad upon signing a new contract.
Ghanasoccernet reported that Amuzu signed a new deal that will see him at Anderlecht until July 2022.
The 19-year-old had been heavily linked with moves to Southampton and Brighton & Hove Albion after reports speculated that his future could be in jeopardy.
Amuzu who is also a Belgium youth international kickstarted his career through the club's academy and has gone to be afforded first-team opportunities.
''With Francis, we have top talent in our ranks. We are therefore very happy that he has extended his contract. There is a bright future for him at RSC Anderlecht," Verschueren said after both parties reached a deal.
The youngster made his maiden debut back in 2017 and has scored two goals and provided three assists in approximately 47 games
