Fidelis Ilechukwu has been unveiled as coach of Nigeria Professional Football League club, Heartland FC.
Ilechukwu spent 13 years with MFM FC where he took the club to the CAF Champions League.
But his long spell at the Lagos club ended last week after Heartland announced his signing.
Ilechukwu was on Monday unveiled in a ceremony at the Imo State Government House attended by governor Emeka Ihedioha.
Under his tutelage at the NPFL side, MFM rose from a mere amateur club to the top echelon of domestic football in Nigeria and has maintained their status ever since.
He will combine his position with that of the U23 Eagles where he is one of the assistant coaches.
