Following a transfer tussle with the club, Arsenal have confirmed that their skipper Laurent Koscielny has completed a move to French outfit, Bordeaux after the two clubs agreed on a fee of up to £4.6 million.
Koscielny refused to link up with Arsenal for their pre-season tour to the USA after handing in a transfer request with a year left on his contract at Emirates Stadium. The 33-year-old center-back is having a medical on Tuesday before completing a return to France after nine years with the Premier League club.
Arsenal had instructed Koscielny to train with the Under 23 side but offered him a way back into the first-team squad for the new season, with the Frenchman turning down the offer. Unai Emery is yet to find his replacement with new signing William Saliba being shipped back on loan to St. Etienne.
