Spanish La Liga club, Leganes, have increased their bid for Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo.
Omeruo spent the last season on loan at the La Liga outfit from Chelsea where he made 28 league appearances for the Manuel Pellegrino’s men.
His improved performance caught the eyes of Leganes management and they are keen on handing him a permanent deal.
According to a report in Spanish daily Marca, Leganes have upped their bid to €4.5m from the earlier €4m which was rejected by Chelsea.
Yet, Chelsea are holding out for a higher fee in the region of €6m for the centre-back.
Omeruo was part of the Super Eagles team that won bronze at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
