Striker Romelu Lukaku will remain in home country Belgium until his Manchester United future is certain.
The decision that Lukaku stay in Belgium was believed to be a mutual agreement between the player and United.
So far this week, the 26-year-old has been training with former club Anderlecht.
No deal have been reached for Lukaku, who is valued at £79m, but Italian clubs Juventus and Inter Milan have showed interests.
Lukaku is adamant he wants to leave Manchester United and has not played a minute of pre-season football for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team, SkySports report.
With the Thursday transfer deadline approaching fast, Lukaku and his agents will need to intensify their search for a destination for the player.
