Brighton sign French youngster Yapi from PSG

Brighton & Albion have completed the signing of French youth international Romaric Yapi from Paris Saint Germain.

The Sea Gulls confirmed capturing the 19-year-old right-back on a one-year deal with a one-year option to extend. “Albion add French prospect from PSG,” posted the club on their website.

“Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of French right-back Romaric Yapi from Paris Saint-Germain, on undisclosed terms.”

 

 

It was further added that the teenager who was fine-tuned and converted from an attacker to a right-back by PSG’s under 19 coach Thiago Motta, will begin his career in Brighton’s U23 set up.

“The 19-year-old defender has signed a one-year deal, with a one-year extension option for the club, and he will initially link up with Simon Rusk’s under-23 squad,” added the club.
