Following his £73 million move to Inter Milan on transfer deadline day, Romelu Lukaku has thanked Manchester United fans and wished them good luck in the future.
His exit comes after a difficult pre-season that saw him travel to Australia and Asia but failed to play any friendlies for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. Lukaku was training with his former side Anderlecht in his final days as a United player before sealing a five-year deal to Inter Milan.
Lukaku took to Twitter to thank United, "To everyone involved with Manchester United - from the board to the manager and his staff, the players, and the fans. Thank you and good luck for the future @ManUtd."
Lukaku had a fine scoring record - 42 goals and 13 assists in 96 appearances which were coupled with a playing style that did not suit Solskjaer's tactics.
