CAF CL: Eagles defender confident of progression to next round

Green Eagles vice-captain Gift Wamundila believes his team will progress to the next round of the CAF Champions league ahead of their opponents Orlando Pirates.

Wamundila revealed that the one-nil win in the preliminary round first leg was just a tip of what they have in store as they are pushing and going.

" Most definitely we will do. What we have done today (Saturday) we have just shown you that we are moving up that's why we are called Tonka Twende 'Push we go' so we pushing we and we are going," he said.

"Each game comes with a lot of lessons and we have learned one or two things and we just have to work on it. They have also learned something about us, they did not expect us to play the way we did, " he added.

Spencer Sautu second-half strike handed Eagles a one-nil first-leg win and slight advantage ahead of the second leg scheduled for Orlando Stadium on 23rd August.
