🏆 How do we expect Liverpool & Chelsea to line up in the UEFA Super Cup final?

These two Premier League sides are coming off contrasting results in the Premier League and we expect that to show again tonight.

But how will the teams line up with more league action on the weekend in mind?

Team news 📰

Liverpool will go into Wednesday’s game without their first-choice goalkeeper Alisson after the Brazilian had to be substituted against Norwich, meaning that new signing Adrian will deputise. Guinea star Naby Keita suffered an injury scare in training and won't play any part.

Sadio Mane’s late return due to African Cup of Nations commitments meant that the Senegal forward was only fit to start on the bench against Norwich City on Friday and he might not be risked here. Divock Origi is likely to keep his place. James Milner might well anchor the midfield.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will be hoping N’Golo Kante will be fit to start after he had to make do with a substitute appearance against Manchester United. Olivier Giroud is also in line for a start in the place of young Englishman Tammy Abraham.

Predicted starting XIs 🧮

Liverpool 🔴

Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lovren, Robertson; Milner, Wijnaldum, Lallana; Salah, Firmino, Origi

Chelsea 🔵

Kepa; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, Alonso; Kovacic, Jorginho, Kante; Pedro, Giroud, Pulisic
