Asante Kotoko’s Fatawu Safiu has bid a heartfelt farewell to the club as he jets out to Sweden.
As reported on Futaa last month, Sifiu traveled to Sweden in an attempt to impress Trelleborgs FF. The player has now been confirmed to have secured a loan move with an option to sign a permanent deal.
The striker took to Facebook to express his gratitude to the Porcupine Warriors before embarking on his new life in Scandinavia.
“It was a great pleasure to have represented this great club. Within a short period, this club has given me everything I have ever dreamt of,” wrote the 25-year-old.
“My appreciation goes to the board, technical staffs, teammates and of course not forgetting the love and support from the fantastic fans. I wish the club and the fans all the best of success in the coming seasons and I know one day our path will cross again. Asante Kotoko Sporting Club,” he concluded.
