Sensational Zanaco assistant coach Dabid Chilufya has dispelled claims by some sections of the fans that teams don't take the Charity shield seriously.
Chilufya says the bankers are going into the game to compete and will use the game as an eye-opener and gauge for the league.
"Playing in the Charity shield is an honour because Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu was my coach at the national level so it's just to a good thing to remember the big man like coach George has said. We want to play the game that will give us an opener for the league," he said.
"People are saying that sometimes teams are not serious with Charity shield they use young players but we want just to use the players we have so that people who will come tomorrow will see that Zanaco is going in the right direction so in tomorrow game we will compete," he added.
Zanaco and Zesco will face off in the final of the 2019/2020 Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu Charity shield, The curtain raiser for Zambia Super League season.
