Zesco United head coach George Lwandamina went down memory lane remembering former Chipolopolo coach Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu ahead of tomorrow's Charity shield which is named after him.
Lwandamina believes playing in the Charity shield gives him an opportunity to remember the 'great' Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu.
"This Charity shield is named after Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu who was a great player. He was my coach so playing in the Charity shield it is just to remember him. Am what I am because of him. Coming to the game its an opener and we have to start from somewhere after the tedious transitional league where we played games like no man's business," he said.
Lwandamina has promised that his team will put up a very good performance despite them being just three weeks into their preseason.
"My players are just three weeks in preseason so this game will just be part of preseason. There are no short cuts in football but we will give our best so that we entertain people who pay and what to see what we have for the new season and am sure we will be able to show," he said.
Zesco and Zanaco will lock horns tomorrow at Woodlands Stadium in the Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu Charity shield at 15:00hrs.
