Harambee Stars winger Clifton Miheso has been handed a starting berth by Gor Mahia head coach Steve Pollark as they take on Bandari FC in the Kenyan Premier League curtain-raiser on Sunday at the Kenyatta Stadium-Machakos.
Pollark has benched veteran goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch with Tanzanian Robert Mapigano handed a starting berth between the sticks when Bandari calls.
Mapigano will depend on a defence that has Joash Onyango, Charles Momanyi, Wellington Ochieng and Geoffrey Ochieng. Former Sony Sugar man Tobias Otieno will be screening the back four with the move relegating Ernest Wendo to the bench.
Joining Otieno in midfield is Captain Kenneth Muguna and Lawrence Juma with Ghanaian Francis Afriyie leading the goal onslaught.
The introduction of Miheso sees winger Nicholas Kipkurui relegated to the bench with former Western Stima, Posta Rangers and Thika United striker Kennedy Agogo among those who will hope to make an impact from the bench.
