Sports Journalists Association of Kenya will hand Ksh 1M and a Smart Tv for the Kenyan Premier League Most Valuable Player in their forthcoming gala.
In the roster that has different categories, the person who will win the SJAK President Award will walk home with Ksh 100000 with the golden glove winner should be between former Bandari keeper Farouk Shikhalo and Justin Ndikumana after both kept 13 clean sheets going home with Ksh250000 + 49" LG Smart TV.
The defender, midfielder, young player of the year and coach of the year will all walk home with Ksh 250000 + 49" LG Smart TV too.
All First runners up will pocket Sh150000 + LG Fridges with all second runners up going home with Sh100000 + LG Microwaves.
Of the players fighting for the Ksh 1M prize money will be former Gor Mahia midfielder Francis Kahata who has since moved to Simba SC, Gor Mahia defender Joash Onyango and Ulinzi Stars striker Enosh Ochieng.
Joining Shikhalo and Ndikumana in the Golden glove race is Samuel Odhiambo from Western Stima who kept 10 clean sheets from 30 matches.
Joah appears once again in the defender of the year category where he is joined by Kevin Wesonga from Sony Sugar and Bandari’s Brian Otieno.
The coach of the year category will be fought by Sofapaka’s John Baraza, Gor’s Hassan Oktay and Bandari’s Bernard Mwalala.
Midfielder of the year award will be between Kahata former Mathare United Cliff Nyakeya who has since moved to Egypt and Bandari’s wh Abdalla Hassan.
New Young Player award will be contested by Jackson Dwang from Nzoia Sugar, Daniel Sakari from Kakamega Homeboyz and Tusker FC striker David Majak.
