Zesco United boss George Lwandamina is happy with the way his players performed in the Samuel 'Zoom' Ndhlovu Charity shield despite losing to Zanaco.
Lwandamina believes there is a gradual progression from his team in the way they played on Saturday at Woodlands Stadium.
"Good, Very Good we are progressing gradually. Excellent," Lwandamina told reporters after the match.
When asked about losing to the same team they beat 4-1 in less than two months in the final of the ABSA Cup, Lwandamina explained that the two games are in different times of the season and can't be compared.
"Which period was that for you to start saying we beat them 4-1? It's when we were at our peak as Zesco United and most teams had gone down now we are starting. We are starting gradually and that's football," he said.
Ziyo Tembo's first-half headed goal was the difference as Zanaco emerged 1-0 victors.
