Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho are leading the way for the Three Lions with their brilliant goal and assist outputs for Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund respectively.
These two flyers will undoubtedly be two of the key men as England start to build towards the World Cup in 2019, but which other players are chipping in with good numbers?
28 - Jadon Sancho has scored (13) and assisted (15) a combined 28 goals in Europe's top five leagues since the start of last season - amongst English players, only Raheem Sterling (31) betters this total. Wunderkind. pic.twitter.com/JQtUkbHniN— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) August 21, 2019
Jadon Sancho's direct contribution to 28 goals since the start of last season is a stunning output by a player who's still only 19, and that stat is only bettered by 24-year-old Raheem Sterling, who contributed to 31 goals in a treble-winning season.
Skipper and main goal-scorer Harry Kane figures near the top of the list and will be one of the key men for a few years still, having only just turned 26. Man United's new number 10 Marcus Rashford, still only 21, has contributed 19 goals in this period for his club. Amazingly, 20-year-old Trent Alexander-Arnold features in the list despite being a right back. He produced 12 assists in the Premier League last season.
The future looks bright for a talented crop of Three Lions players.
