George Afriyie has alerted all Ghana Football Association president candidates he will be a strong challenger.
The former vice president of the GFA is of the opinion that he stands out as the most favoured potential president to lead the football federation.
"I am ready for any shades thrown at me from my opponents,” Afriyie told Oyerepa FM via Ghana Soccer Net.
“I have tough skin for the contest ahead. It looks like I am people's main worry and target. What I will just tell them is to fasten their seat belts, my main campaign is yet to roll, they should really get prepared.”
The Okyeman Planners boss does however admit that challenges and mind games are likely to come his way as the elections loom and eventually roll out.
"Am expecting a lot from my competitors ,more of such allegations, these diversionary tactics cannot sway me and my team's focus.”
"It's not news to me, I have toughen myself for the task ahead." Afriyie will of course square up against candidates such as Kurk Okraku, Wilfried Osei, Nana Amponsah and Kudjoe Fianoo.
"None of my competitors come close to me in footballing elections," added the 55-year-old Afriyie.
