Kompany who was with The Citizens for 11 years called time on his Premier League career in the summer after well-deserved success to go and join forces with his childhood club on a three-year deal as previously reported in the media.
However, the 33-year-old joined the side where they are currently experiencing a turmoil and he is yet to win a match with the Belgian First Division A outfit.
Anderlecht have reportedly suffered two defeats and played to two draws in four of the matches that Kompany has been.
According to Belgian publication HLN, the abovementioned is the reason why the club has made the decision to change his role in hope that they will experience some good fortune going forward.
